Here’s my 2-day Colorado Springs itinerary from my 5-day Colorado trip over July 4th weekend! 🗓️ Day 0 ✈️ Evening: Arrive in Denver 🏨 Stay: Denver 🗓️ Day 1 📷 Morning: Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre 🏟️ (1.5 hrs) [] 🍽️ 12:00: Jerusalem Restaurant (Mediterranean cuisine) [] 📷 14:30: Manitou Cliff Dwellings 🏜️ (1 hr, $13.39) [] 📷 16:00: Garden of the Gods ⛰️ (1.5 hrs) [] (Best trail: Perkins Central Garden Trail) 🍽️ 19:00: Uchenna Ethiopian Restaurant 🇪🇹 (Reservation recommended!) 🏨 Stay: Colorado Springs 🗓️ Day 2 🍽️ 9:00: Breakfast at Whole Foods + pack sandwiches for lunch 📍 10:30: Pikes Peak Tollgate ($18 per car + $2 reservation fee) 📷 11:45: Pikes Peak Summit (1.5 hrs) (Altitude: 14,115 ft—watch for altitude sickness!) 📍 14:15: Return to the base 📷 15:00: Western Museum of Mining & Industry ⚒️ (30 mins) 📷 17:00: Denver University 🎓 (30 mins) 🍽️ 18:00: Jerusalem Restaurant (Yes, again—it’s that good!) 🏨 Stay: Denver ‼️ Important Notes Pikes Peak requires a vehicle reservation ($2) + per-person fee. If worried about altitude sickness, take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway 🚞 ($67+). Garden of the Gods: Park at Main Parking Lot (P2) for the best trail (Perkins Central Garden Trail).
