Come to Williamsburg in spring for a glass of rose wine
✨ Antidote ✨ 66 S 2nd St, Brooklyn, NY 11249 🌹 The ambiance is 10/10 💯—highly recommend for anyone on a date‼️ It has that cool, distinct Brooklyn vibe. There’s a big graffiti wall outside, and when I walked in, I almost thought I’d stumbled into a café. The bar area is spacious, with a loft-like high ceiling and some greenery added in—totally different from the typical Manhattan restaurant style. 🍸 The biggest surprise of the day was the cocktails! Super recommend the first one on the menu, which shares the same name as the spot: Antidote‼️ It comes with a cute pink rose🌹 ice cube that slowly melts when you pour the drink over it—so atmospheric. It’s fruity and sweet-tart on the palate. The other one we tried, Poison Ivy, is a mix of 🥒 and ginger beer—refreshing and delicious. The drinks feel really well-made; one each had us slightly tipsy. 💡 We ordered a few dishes—here’s a quick run-through of my thoughts: ✨ Crab Roe Soup Dumplings Three per order, and they’re packed with broth. The crab roe flavor comes through nicely, and while the wrapper isn’t ultra-thin, it has a nice wheat aroma. I really liked these. ✨ Dan Dan Noodles Dry-style, with a few pea shoots, minced meat, and preserved vegetable bits. The noodles have a slight chew, and once tossed, they’re coated in spicy oil—so fragrant. ✨ Sichuan Boiled Pork Slices The meat is tender, not too spicy but full of flavor. There are also bean sprouts, celery, and other veggies in the mix. ✨ Steamed Fish A whole tilapia, super fresh, seasoned with scallions, ginger, and soy sauce—light and tasty. Even Lao Wang, who doesn’t usually like fish, ate quite a bit. ✨ Stir-Fried Pea Shoots Tender, with a garlicky aroma—good if you’re craving greens. ✨ Sichuan Beef Tripe Salad A nice balance of meat and tripe, with fragrant spicy oil. Portions are on the smaller side—they lean toward (refined) rather than hearty. Nothing’s a letdown, but you must order drinks‼️ I’ll definitely be back to work my way through the whole menu, haha. #NewYorkFoodGuide #NewYorkFood #NewYorkDateSpots #BrooklynFoodRecommendations #Williamsburg #WilliamsburgNYCFood #NewYorkWeekend #NewYorkBar #NewYorkCocktailBar #NewYorkChineseFood #BrooklynFoodie #BrooklynEats
