Comparing the Two Hottest New York Christmas Restaurants 🌟
Last year, Rolf's German Restaurant won me over with its attention to detail. The place was adorned with antique Christmas balls and dolls that are hard to find nowadays. Every corner of the restaurant was unique, leaving visitors in awe. 🌟However, the food was absolutely terrible. While Germans aren't known for their cooking, this place was particularly hard to swallow. The sausages were bad, and the sauerkraut was mushy. I could only manage one bite. The low price was the only saving grace—it felt more like paying for admission. (You can check out my old posts from last year for photos of this place.) 🏙️This year, Papillon Bistro & Bar had a more layered feel with its staircase, and the overall decor was quite impressive, though the details didn't blow me away. 🌟The food was average but edible, and the prices were reasonable. The downside? The location made parking a nightmare, and walking in high heels required some thought. The dim lighting also made it hard to get good photos. Both restaurants were tough to book for dinner, with no one answering the phone. I visited during lunchtime and got lucky with no wait. 🌸 This year, the hostess told the two white ladies who came in before me that only bar seats were available, but she gave me a small table. Haha! #NewYork 🌃🌟
