Complaint About LA's One-Michelin-Star Meteora đđ
After hesitating for a long time, I finally decided to try Meteora. Turns out the reviews on Xiaohongshu were rightâit really wasnât good, and the restaurant had some baffling practices. 1ď¸âŁ Ambiance was nice, but on a hot mid-August day, they didnât turn on the air conditioning indoorsâit was uncomfortably warm. 𼾠2ď¸âŁ Seating arrangement was strange. The restaurant was empty (more staff than customers), yet they still gave us a tiny table. 3ď¸âŁ Rushed service: Even before we finished eating, waiters kept hovering around our table, eager to clear plates. The moment we put down our utensils, the dishes were taken away lightning fastâlike they were rushing for table turnover. âł 4ď¸âŁ Zero dining privacy because someone was always standing nearby watching us. đ 5ď¸âŁ Food quality: We ordered the 7-course menu at $150 per person. Overall, it was disappointing. Only the complimentary starter and the first two courses on the menu were decentâthe rest were hard to appreciate. 6ď¸âŁ Birthday mishap: It was a birthday dinner, so we brought our own cake. At the end of the meal, the server brought the cake over and asked what we wanted to do with it. We said just leave it for photos. Within five minutes, the same server rushed back to cut the cake. We said no, and then he tried to take it awayâbefore we even got photos! đ¸â I only found out after getting home that itâs a one-Michelin-star restaurant and that itâs related to Destroyer. It all made sense thenâI also thought Destroyer was terrible! Overall, not recommended at all. The food was mediocre, and we didnât even get proper photosâtotal loss! đ¤ If youâre considering going, think twice! There are much better restaurants out there! #LifeInNorthAmerica #LosAngeles #LALife #LAEats #MichelinStarLA #LARestaurants #LAFoodReview #HiddenGems #DiningFail #ThinkTwice
