Conscience Recommendations for Dubrovnik Restaurants

1⃣️ Lucin Kantun 📍 Address: Ul. od Sigurate 4A, 20000, Dubrovnik, Croatia ⭐ Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Recommended by the hotel front desk, this Mediterranean restaurant in the old town serves excellent dishes from appetizers to main courses. Must-tries include the octopus, steak, and squid risotto. The average cost is around €40-50 per person—a great spot for dinner after exploring the old town. The only downside is the slightly cramped dining space. 2⃣️ Marco Polo 📍 Address: Lučarica ul. 6, 20000, Dubrovnik, Croatia ⭐ Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Our last meal in Dubrovnik and an absolute standout! This Mediterranean gem is tucked away in a quieter alley of the old town. The candlelit outdoor seating creates a magical atmosphere. Their beef ragù pasta, seafood tempura, and beef short ribs are mind-blowing—definitely a must-visit! (Ask your hotel to book in advance.) 3⃣️ Prora 📍 Address: Ul. Frana Supila 12, 20000, Dubrovnik, Croatia ⭐ Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 Located in the basement (Level -3) of Hotel Excelsior (reservation required), this place is all about the ambiance. The food is… debatable, but the setting is stunning—right by the beach in a cave-like restaurant, perfect for sunset views. Ideal for couples opening a bottle of wine and whispering sweet nothings, even if the food isn’t the highlight. 4⃣️ Kunlun Chinese Restaurant 📍 Address: Gornja Cibaca 14, 20207, Dubrovnik, Croatia ⭐ Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The star of the show—my beloved Chinese restaurant! With very few Asian options in Dubrovnik, I ate here three days in a row. The owners, a family from Zhejiang, have been in Croatia for over a decade (they also have a branch in Zagreb). The food is incredibly authentic, ranking among the best Chinese cuisine in Europe. Must-orders: spicy chicken, twice-cooked pork, and shredded potatoes (ask for less salt if preferred). At just €25-30 per person, it’s a steal, though the €8 taxi ride from the old town is worth it! P.S. There’s also Lady Pipi, a highly-rated BBQ spot, but the long queue kept me from trying it.
