Cool Off at Gōyō Sato Sakura Museum in Tokyo This Summer (2)🌸
What I found most magical was how the paintings were all very simple and cheerful at first glance, but upon closer inspection, there were many details from the foreground to the background that couldn't be captured in a photo. 📸✨ 🧊 The second floor had a special exhibition themed around cherry blossoms. There's not much to say about the Japanese tradition of cherry blossom viewing; it's just something you have to see for yourself.🥹 🧊The number of works isn't very large, so about an hour is enough to take your time and enjoy them. I highly recommend coming here to cool off.🧊 Afterward, you can visit the T-Site in Daikanyama, but even on weekdays, it can be quite crowded and you might not find a seat (though you could sit outside if you don't mind the heat). Yesterday, I bought "Gender Photography Theory" (which discusses photography from a gender perspective) and then ordered a book about Japanese female photographers called "Kanojo-tachi" on Amazon. I'm eagerly waiting for the delivery. 🧊 Finally, I've made up for the disappointment of not being able to find any photography theory books in Shanghai six months ago. #JapanesePainting #Photography #Women #Tokyo 🌟✨
