Copenhagen | 2-Day Solo Trip Guide in the Nordics

My first solo trip in Europe made me fall in love with the freedom of traveling alone! Highly recommend Denmark 🇩🇰 as your first solo destination—it’s safe, friendly, and easy to navigate. Copenhagen left me with an impression of cleanliness + warmth. Even though I didn’t understand Danish, English worked perfectly everywhere. 🚅 Transportation: Took a 5-hour Flixbus from Hamburg, Germany 🇩🇪 (a bit long but manageable—I’ve done 6 hours to Prague!). Part of the ride includes a ferry crossing ⛴️—motion-sensitive folks beware. Within the city: Use the Dot Tickets app to buy a City Pass Small 🎫. It covers all public transport: metro/bus/harbor bus/train. Return: Metro M2 goes directly to the airport. 🏨 Accommodation: 📍 a&o Copenhagen Sydhavn Booked early during an Easter sale—€79 for 2 nights in a twin room. Clean, cozy, and my west-facing window captured gorgeous sunsets 🌅. Just one S-bahn stop from Central Station. 👣 Attractions: Nyhavn 🌈 Hans Christian Andersen Statue The Little Mermaid 🧜♀️ The Royal Library (Black Diamond) 📚 — Highly recommend! The garden outside is perfect for relaxing. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek 🖼️ Grundtvig’s Church ⛪ — A must-see even if you’re tired of European churches. The light and architecture are magical! 🍽️ Solo Dining: 📌 Mad & Kaffe — Build-your-own brunch. I chose chicken bites/croissant/scrambled eggs/avocado/Greek yogurt. So much protein—I was stuffed! 🥑🍳 📌 Domhusets Smørrebrød — Authentic open-faced sandwiches 🥪. Great value! Most locals take away—there’s only one small table outside. #Food #StudyInGermany #Copenhagen #VisitCopenhagen #CopenhagenFood #SoloTravel #EuropeSoloTravel #Denmark #Nordic #NordicAdventure
