Croatia | Discover the Legendary "Eye of the Earth"

Croatia, a country rich in history and cultural heritage, offers more than just its stunning coastlines and islands. It's home to many ancient cities worth exploring. Here are some of Croatia's historic cities: πŸ’« The Eye of the Earth: 🌈 If you're determined to see the Eye of the Earth, it's highly recommended to bring a drone, as its beauty is hard to capture from the ground. 🌈 It's best to visit the Eye of the Earth on your way from Split to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. There are many incorrect popular addresses and GPS locations online, which I encountered while making my travel guide. In reality, just search for "Lzvor Cetine Veliko Vrilo (Glavas) - Oko Dalmacije" on Google Maps and drive there. You can follow the map navigation for the specific route. 🌈 The suggested itinerary is to depart from Split, head to the Eye of the Earth, then continue to Plitvice Lakes National Park, arrange accommodation in the park, tour the lakes the next day, and then return to Split or Zagreb. 🌈 If you're visiting the Eye of the Earth on your way from Split to Plitvice Lakes, the detour isn't too long, less than half an hour one way, but the road is quite narrow. 🌈 This attraction is not very well-known, and there were hardly any people when we visited. There are warnings by the lake! Swimming is not allowed, and there are no patrol personnel. 🌈 It's worth noting that the color of the lake water can vary greatly depending on whether the sun is shining or not. πŸ‡πŸ‡· Dubrovnik: Known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," Dubrovnik is one of Croatia's most famous ancient cities. The city is surrounded by intact city walls that are well-preserved and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Dubrovnik, you can stroll through the narrow stone streets and explore ancient churches, palaces, and museums. πŸ‡πŸ‡· Split: Located on the Adriatic coast, Split is the second-largest city in Croatia and a city with a long history. The famous landmark is the Diocletian's Palace, established by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. It is one of the few remaining Roman palaces in the world and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For transportation, you can easily purchase tickets and don't have to worry about language barriers . #OffTheBeatenPath #WeekendGetaways
