Croton Gorge Park was such an amazing surprise! 💚

We stopped by Croton Gorge Park on our way to the farm—it’s less than an hour from New York. Honestly, I didn’t expect much at first since the photos online made it look like a small dam. But wow! When we got there, it totally gave me strong "Lord of the Rings" and "Game of Thrones" Wall vibes! 🧙‍♂️❄️ The sheer scale of the stone spillway against the natural backdrop is breathtaking—so epic and majestic! You really have to see it in person to feel that grand atmosphere. We ended up walking across the top of the dam for a full view of the reservoir and the Croton River below—such a powerful sight, especially with the water rushing down. The park around it is perfect for a relaxed picnic or short scenic hikes with plenty of photo spots. If you love nature and a bit of adventure, this is a must-visit spot upstate. 📍 35 Yorktown Rd, Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520 🚗 Parking is $10 per vehicle—super convenient! There’s also a cute little playground nearby if you’re visiting with kids. 👧🧒 We noticed lots of families setting up by the water—it’s such a peaceful and kid-friendly environment. And speaking of the farm—Fishkill Farms’ organic fruits are as incredible as always! 🍎🍓 Always fresh, always delicious. Perfect for picking and snacking! We picked a bunch of apples and sun-ripened strawberries—so juicy and full of flavor. It’s the perfect follow-up to a morning spent at the gorge. Have you been there this season? What’s your favorite fruit to pick? Let me know in the comments! 👇💬 #AroundNY #LessThanOneHourFromNY #NYParks #HiddenGems #DayTrip #FamilyFun #NatureLovers
