Cuba Varadero Hotel Guide 🏝️
Blau Varadero: A Boozy Tropical Escape by the Jellyfish Sea Stepping into Varadero, Cuba, my first stop was Blau Varadero—a 4-star all-inclusive hotel tucked in the Varadero hotel cluster. Didn’t expect much, but it won me over instantly: clean, cozy rooms with great AC, exactly like the website photos (no "bait-and-switch" here! 😍). 8 days 7 nights for 875 CAD, way easier than hunting for homestays, perfect for "chill mode." 🌴 Amenities: Jungle Vibes & Relaxation Walking in, the entrance blew me away: hanging plants, 🌿 and 🌴 palm fronds layered overhead, sunlight filtering through—like stepping into a mini rainforest, washing away travel fatigue in seconds. Pool goals:A huge pool with few people. Grab a corner lounger, sip rum while soaking, watch coconut trees sway—so chill I could stay all day 🏊♀️. Beach chair perfection:Loungers by the pool and beach get cleaned daily, so clean you can sit barefoot. Towels folded neatly— approved ✨. 🍴 Food & Drinks: From Fancy Dining to Tipsy Bars In all-inclusives, eating and drinking are key—here are the standouts: Palm International (reservation-only): The fanciest spot! 4 appetizers + 4 mains to choose from—steak juicy enough to bleed pink, seafood platters fresh off the boat. Waiters in crisp uniforms, plating with flair 🍽️—great for dates or treating yourself. Piano Bar:My daily haunt 🎹! The bartender’s a pro—alcoholic Piña Colada is coconutty with just enough kick; virgin version is sweet-tart, I could drink 5 a day. Black Russia (with brown sugar) is smooth vodka with a sweet finish—way better than "assembly-line drinks" at other bars. ps: Don’t skip the papaya and pineapple! Sweet like they’re soaked in honey 🍍—I grab two big pieces at breakfast every day. (Other restaurants/bars are more "filling"—for real seafood, head out for lobster 🦞—you know the drill.) 🏝️ Beach: Snorkeling in Jellyfish-Colored Waters The private beach is immaculate: sand white and powdery, so hot you’ll hop (wear flip-flops! 🤣) but cool once you hit the water. The sea is gradient jellyfish colors—light blue to emerald—clear enough to see shells at your feet. Snorkeled a few meters out and found colorful fish and slow starfish 🌟. Floating on my back, sunlight through the water, it was pure bliss. 💡 Tips Tipping: Leave 100-200 CUP in your room daily—housekeeping folds towels into cute swans 🦢 (weird but charming); 1-2 USD at restaurants, waiters light up. WiFi: Hotel WiFi works for videos, each person gets a unique login—smooth sailing 📶. Vibe: Mostly white tourists, no other Asians—great for a quiet getaway. 8 days of pool drinks, beach naps, and tipsy star-gazing—this all-inclusive laziness is chef’s kiss. Pack snacks if you’re picky, but honestly? Waking up to sun and sea is worth it. #Cuba #CubaTravel #Caribbean #Cocktails #Beach #AllInclusiveCuba #Varadero #VaraderoHotel #JellyfishSea
