š Curitiba, Brazil ā A Hidden Gem for Living & Travel! šæ
Iāve heard so many people from different countries recommend Curitiba as a great place to live, and after a short weekend visit, I totally fell in love! The weather is perfectāmild winters (not too cold, not as hot as BrasĆlia). The city is beautifully planned, with huge green parks, well-maintained bike lanes, and jogging paths. Locals are always out exercising, while capybaras and little birds lazily sunbathe on the grass. Everyone I met was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe is super chill and safe. Plus, the southern Brazilian accent is so charmingāit almost has a Beijing-style "erhua" rhythm to it! After traveling across Latin America, the only two cities Iād seriously consider living in are Mexico City (vibrant & lively) and Curitiba (peaceful & relaxed). My Top Recommendations: šæ Jardim BotĆ¢nico ā The botanical garden plays Vivaldiās "Four Seasons" in the background, and local artists sell hand-painted plant illustrations for R$50 (perfect for home decor!). š¹ Feira do Largo da Ordem ā A lively market with Brazilian & European street food. Try the sugarcane juice mixed with ginger, passion fruit, or lemonāso refreshing! 𦫠Parque Barigui ā Capybara central! A gorgeous park with charming little villas nearby. Thereās also an amusement parkāriding the Ferris wheel at night for city views is magical. š½ļø Mercearia Fantinato ā Super popular (expect 40+ min waits). The beef croquettes, sausage bread, and beef tartare are good⦠but not mind-blowing. š» Bar do AlemĆ£o ā A German-style pub, great for watching games & drinking beer with friends. The German food? Meh⦠wouldnāt order it again. š #BrazilLife #BrazilTravel #Curitiba #Portuguese #Capybara
