Curitiba Travel Diary: A Love-Hate Adventure ✈️🌆
Day 1 Flew from Belo Horizonte (BH) to Curitiba for just R$550 round-trip—what a steal! 💸 First impression: "Wow, people here dress so stylishly!" 👗👔 Way more polished than my city. Stayed at Social Hotel Café e Bar—only R$300 for 5 nights! Super budget-friendly and cozy. 🏨 Explored Parque Barigui (hello, capybaras!), the Automobile Museum 🚗, and a TV Tower with panoramic city views. 🌆 Day 2 Hopped on the tourist bus (Linha Turismo) 🚌 and hit all the hotspots. Highlight: Oscar Niemeyer Museum (the "Eye" 👁️)—fascinating exhibits on African and Asian cultures. "Geography shapes civilization!" 🌍 Day 3 Took the scenic train from Curitiba to Morretes 🚂: R$425 for round-trip + city tour + lunch + Antonina visit. Worth it! Food adventures: Ate Japanese twice 🍣—Curitiba has amazing sushi! Must-tries: Carne de Onça (beef tartare) 🥩 and Barreado (slow-cooked stew) 🍲—SO GOOD! Final Thoughts The vibe? "Cold people, cold weather." ❄️ Not the warm Brazilian spirit I’m used to—I missed Minas Gerais! Pros: Clean, organized, great transit. Cons: Felt too sterile. "Nice to visit, but I wouldn’t live here!" 😅 WTF Moment 🤯 While waiting for the bus, I witnessed a drug deal straight out of Breaking Bad! 🚬💊 At first, I didn’t realize what was happening... until a guy pulled out a knife from his waistband. 🔪 My face went: 😃 → 😳 → 😱. #BrazilTravel #CuritibaDiaries #MixedFeelings #CapybaraSpotting #NotForMe #BrazilianFood
