It’s been a month since I arrived in Freiburg, and the biggest takeaway? This little city is perfect for studying! 📚✨ "The Oxford of Germany"? 🏛️ One thing that struck me immediately is how much Freiburg reminds me of Oxford (disclaimer: I’ve only been there as a tourist! 😆). Both cities share this "university without walls" concept—classrooms and lecture halls are seamlessly integrated into the urban fabric. There’s no imposing campus gate or a single centralized location; instead, university buildings are scattered throughout the city. You might find a literature seminar in a historic building near the cathedral, a biology lab tucked between cafés, or a philosophy discussion happening right next to a bustling market square. It’s like the whole city is one big campus! 🗺️🏛️ Study Spots Everywhere ☕📖 This setup means you’re never far from a place to hit the books. My favorite spots so far: The University Library (UB): A modern, light-filled space with amazing views of the Black Forest. 🌲 Café Atlantik: Cozy, great coffee, and the perfect background hum for writing essays. ☕✍️ Augustinerplatz: When the weather’s nice, studying outside with a pretzel from the nearby bakery?
