📍 Mot Hai Ba: 6047 Lewis St, Dallas, TX 75206 This intimate spot blends Vietnamese and French influences into a truly memorable dining experience. The restaurant is cozy and was completely packed when we visited—my friend had to reserve our Saturday 8 PM slot about 1–2 weeks in advance! 📅🍽️ Both my friend and I fell in love with the warm, moody bistro atmosphere. The décor is thoughtfully curated: vintage golden-framed mirrors and paintings, antique lamps hanging from the ceiling, and a charming little outdoor patio. Soft, dim lighting sets a romantic and intimate vibe—perfect for a special night out. 🕯️🌿 The menu focuses on creative Asian fusion dishes with refined technique and bold flavors. 🥢 Starters: Grilled Duck Heart served over a savory chicken congee. The rice had a slight chewiness to it—my friend found it a bit gamey, but I enjoyed the rich, earthy notes. 🦆❤️ Ginger Lemongrass Grilled Octopus – tender yet pleasantly chewy, marinated in a bright, fragrant lemongrass and fish sauce glaze. The combination of textures and the creative treatment of ingredients really stood out. 🍐🦀 🍖 Main: Oxtail Ragout – came topped with a generous layer of pickled carrots 🥕😲. The sweet-tangy carrots paired beautifully with the deeply braised, fall-apart tender oxtail. Comforting yet elegantly presented. 🍸 Drinks: We tried the Lychee Martini and a crisp white wine—both excellent and well-balanced. We were too full for dessert, but our neighbor—a regular—highly recommended the Garlic Noodles and Dauphine Ravioli for next time. 👌🍜 What made the evening truly special was sharing great food, drinks, and heartfelt conversation with a close friend in such a beautifully designed space.
