π³π²πΌ Dappled Shade and Lush Greenery at Showa Kinen Park πΌπ²π³
I absolutely adore the dappled sunlight through the trees along the shaded paths. On a whim, my friends and I decided to visit Showa Kinen Park in Tachikawa City, Tokyo. It's about a half-hour trip from Shinjuku Station, and with all our chatter, the time flew by! π« Admission Fee: Adult tickets are 450 yen for the day. You can use your transportation card to enter the park. π² Entrance and Bicycle Rental: As soon as we entered and reached the bicycle rental spot, we were captivated by the dappled shade of the tree-lined paths. I might have a bit of a 'spot' for such scenes. The park is enormous, and cycling (see the last photo for prices) allows for quick movement. Gliding through the shade with the scent of osmanthus (and the distinct smell of ginkgo) was truly blissful. π΄ Stopping Along the Way: My friends and I would stop at any time (there are designated bicycle parking spots) to tread on the grass, admire the flowers, and take photos. Walking barefoot on the grass under the sun made me feel revitalized! Thank you, grass! π₯ Regrets and Expectations: Unfortunately, we arrived at 2 pm and the park closes at 5 pm, so we didn't have enough time to fully enjoy it. It would be perfect to bring some food and spend the day on a picnic mat, playing frisbee or badminton. But this just gives us something to look forward to for the next visit. π· Camera: Shot on GR3 #WeekendInTokyo #ShowaKinenPark #AutumnVibes #GR3
