๐ Darwin Travel โ Beach Edition
Darwin sits where the Pacific meets the Indian Ocean, boasting diverse beaches with emerald-green waters (similar to Perthโs shores!). During my trip, I embarked on a solo coastal hike ๐ถโ๏ธ: Nightcliff area East Point to Mindil Beach (2.5 km) I discovered Darwinโs beaches are wonderfully varied: ๐๏ธ Cliff beaches at Nightcliff & East Point ๐ชจ Rocky shores in some areas ๐๏ธ Sandy beaches at Mindil & Sunset Park โฐ๏ธ Sandstone coasts at Fannie Bay The biggest surprise? Finding ancient marine fossils embedded in Fannie Bayโs sandstone! Though I couldnโt identify the species, this thrilling discovery made my day! ๐๐ Mindil Beach is Darwinโs most famous spot: Breathtaking sunsets ๐ Night markets every Thu & Sun โ global food stalls + vibrant nightlife ๐๐ช Bus #4 stops here for car-free travelers! But my absolute favorite is Wagait Beach (Madorah area) โ stay tuned for my next post on this hidden gem! #DarwinBeaches #TravelAustralia #HiddenGems #FossilHunting #SunsetLovers #SoloTravel
