Day 9 of the Balkan Journey
🍀Today's route took us from Split in the morning → Plitvice Lakes National Park → Zadar. 🔅Plitvice Lakes, often called "Europe's Jiuzhaigou", was established in 1949 as Southeast Europe's oldest national park and Croatia's largest. 🍀 We visited during the off-season, so tickets were cheaper (€40/person). After mid-June, prices jump for peak season. 🌈After Plitvice, we arrived in Zadar, hometown of football legend Luka Modrić. Compared to Split and Dubrovnik’s crowds, I loved Zadar’s peaceful Old Town vibe. 💧Strolling the seaside, listening to the Sea Organ’s melodies, was soul-soothing. 🛏️ Hotel Review: Bastion Heritage Hotel. Boutique-style, frequented by celebrities. Excellent on-site restaurant (breakfast was superb!).⭐Perfect location at the Old Town’s doorstep. Highly recommended for a relaxed stay 💛Zadar deserves 3+ days—wandering its Roman ruins, listening to the Sea Organ, and soaking in sunrises/sunsets. A perfect mix of history, culture, and nature. #Accommodation #PlitviceLakes #OldTown #Zadar
