Delicious Hipster Hand-crafted Small Pizzas
⭐️After my friend's graduation ceremony, we chose this pizza place for a meal. The restaurant's name is Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room. The vibe of the place is quite diverse; on one side, there's a small bar filled with various craft cider names, and on the other side, it feels like a dimly lit, retro-decorated restaurant. As you enter, you're greeted by their signature brick oven, emitting a faint smoky aroma. ⭐️The pizzas are reasonably priced, with an 11-inch pizza cut into eight slices averaging around twenty dollars. It's not the typical thin-crust pizza you'd find in Italian restaurants; the crust has a slight thickness to it. ⭐️We ordered two pizzas, the carnivore and the forest, both of which were delicious. The forest pizza had a vinaigrette topping that was a pleasant surprise. Although it was a vegetarian pizza with mushrooms, it tasted even better than the meaty carnivore. The crust was fragrant, likely a benefit of being baked in a brick oven. ⭐️For appetizers, we had shrimp—four small ones for $16, which wasn't cheap, but they were tasty. They were also sprinkled with vinaigrette and served with garlic spinach underneath. My boyfriend tried their homemade rose cider, which was quite good. It's a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food flavors, perfect for a date. #ShopExploration #Pittsburgh #PittsburghShopExploration #PittsburghFood
