Denver/Aurora | The Best Steak I’ve Had in Years – Ted's Montana Grill
I’m officially naming this the best steak I’ve eaten in recent years—total game-changer! I’ll admit I was hesitant to visit at first, for two big reasons:🥩 After recovering from COVID, beef started tasting overly gamey to me, and I developed a physical aversion to the flavor. I thought bison would be tough and dry, thanks to its lower fat content. But then I saw their menu mantra, and I knew I was in for something good: No microwaves. No freezers. No shortcuts. Only at Ted's. And wow—this place blew all my expectations out of the water. One bite, and I was completely speechless. 🦬 Bison Delmonico Ribeye (14oz/≈400g, Medium-Rare) The doneness was cooked to absolute perfection. The meat was rich in flavor, with a subtle, creamy, buttery note—zero gaminess at all. While it doesn’t have the marbling of a prime ribeye, the texture was surprisingly tender and juicy, with every slice bursting with flavor. I kept it simple with just a sprinkle of salt and black pepper, and paired it with their parmesan roasted broccoli. I devoured the whole thing in no time—pure, unadulterated deliciousness. ❌ Skip the Desserts Fair warning: The desserts are overly sweet, just like most classic American spots—cloying and not worth it. 💫 Ambiance & Service The vibe is incredible—classic old-school American chophouse style, with an imposing (yet slightly sad) bison head mount as a bold centerpiece. The staff are all so warm and enthusiastic, their positivity is genuinely contagious. It’s a huge hit with locals, so book a reservation in advance—it fills up fast! Finally, in what feels like a food desert within a food desert, I’ve found a restaurant worth coming back to again and again. I’m already counting down to my second visit to try their bison burger! 🏠 Ted's Montana Grill 📍 16495 E 40th Cir, Aurora, CO 80011 #DenverEats #DenverSteakhouse #ColoradoFood #AuroraCO #BisonSteak #BestSteakEver #ColoradoEats #DenverFoodie #SteakLovers #FoodDesertGem
