🌟 Denver’s Michelin Star Value King|Alma & Mezcal

After traveling through Colorado, I’ve tried quite a few restaurants – but today I have to share the only one-star spot I’d revisit again and again – Alma Fonda Fina! So good I’d feel guilty not recommending it 🧡 ⭐ Alma Fonda Fina (Michelin 1 Star) 🍠 Camote Asado (Roasted Sweet Potato) Unique flavor, rich and sweet – unexpectedly delicious! 🐑 Lamb Shank Fragrant, fall-off-the-bone tender – one of my favorite mains this trip. 🥩 NY Strip Steak Perfectly cooked – even saw the chef temp-check it with a needle tableside! The sauce was amazing too. 🦆 Duck Leg Heavenly! Crispy skin, tender meat, perfectly seasoned. 🧂 Side dishes Pretty standard (maybe I’m spoiled by too much Mexican food in LA 😂), but every main dish was stellar! 🍸 Mezcaleria Alma (same owner, also 1 Star) Right next to Alma – cozy bar vibe, menu leans toward bar snacks. 🐟 Tostada de Toro Lightly spicy raw fish – refreshing and tasty. 🍚 Arroz A La Tumbada De Hongos Flavorful but a bit salty. 🥟🌮 Barriga de Cerdo / Pescadilla De “Marlin” Different ingredients (dumplings & tacos) but flavors felt repetitive. Overall not as wow as Alma – more a spot to drink and chat. 🚗 Practical Info 🅿️ Parking: Street parking, not too hard to find. 📅 Reservations: Super popular! First time: booked chef counter a month ahead Second time: got off the waitlist at 7 AM 😭 📝 Little Easter Egg Later at a Denver two-star Michelin spot, the server wasn’t surprised when we mentioned Alma – said they’ve been expanding like crazy and every location is packed 🔥 Totally get it – Alma is the kind of place you just want to return to. Bottom line – highly recommended! Must-try! 💯 More Colorado restaurant reviews coming in my “Colorado Collection” – stay tuned! #Denver #ColoradoEats #DenverFood
