Denver 5-Day Food Diary + Personal Review 🍽️

Heard Denver was a "food desert"? After visiting, I kinda get it… but there were still a few pleasant surprises! Here’s my personal food recap in chronological order. 😊 1️⃣ Moobongri Soondae First meal after landing! 🛬 The beef rib soup was warm and comforting. The spicy pork spine stew was huge—fall-off-the-bone tender, but if you don’t finish the meat first, good luck drinking the broth 😂 So, go for the beef rib soup if you want to sip comfortably. Perfect high-altitude recovery meal—energy restored! 💪 2️⃣ The Art Hotel Stayed here to use my AMEX credit—got $100 for dinner + $60 for breakfast. 🏨 Dinner steak was decent, cooked just right. Brussels sprouts appetizer was tender and delicious with pomegranate yogurt dip. But the breakfast burrito? I DEVOURED it! 🫔 Crispy tortilla with a subtle steak aroma… maybe they cooked it on the same grill? Even I, a light eater, finished the whole thing. ☕ Tea service was cute—they brought a stylish box to pick your tea bag, with a little jar of honey. 🍯 3️⃣ Himalayan Curry & Kebob Dinner in Estes Park. That GARLIC NAAN deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! A must-order! Thin, crispy-edged, slightly sweet, and fragrant. Mains (lamb curry + butter chicken) were okay—nothing special. 4️⃣ Smokin Dave‘s BBQ Stopped here after hiking, starving! 🥾 Food came super fast. $26 for a 3-meat plate: beef + ribs + half chicken. All incredibly tender and not overly salty—especially the beef, so flavorful yet mild. High praise for US BBQ! 🍖 Also loved their $5 side salad—finally, some greens! 🥗 5️⃣ Omelette Parlor Ate here before taking the Pike Peak Cog Railway. 🚂 Ordered the "Thunderbird" omelet—it’s an omelet wrapped around a thin pancake, stuffed with fillings, and smothered in green chili pork sauce. Weird combo? Maybe. Weirdly delicious? Definitely! 😋 6️⃣ Seoul K-BBQ Their beef rib soup was even better than Moobongri’s—highly recommend! 🐂 The BBQ was fresh—ribeye and short rib were both solid. For two people, one soup + one BBQ meat is plenty. 7️⃣ O Lien Pho was decent—did the job, no surprises. 8️⃣ North Italia Ate here while returning the rental car. Pizza crust was tasty—solid choice! 🍕 9️⃣ Oishii Ramen Not a fan. 🙅‍♀️ #DenverFood #DenverTravel #FoodDiary #ColoradoEats #TravelEats
