Denver 5-Day Food Diary + Personal Reviews
Heard Denver was a βfood desert,β and after visiting β yeah, it kinda is π . But there were still a few pleasant surprises! The reviews below are totally personal and in travel order. Moobongri Soondae π First meal after landing. Beef rib soup was warm and fragrant. Spicy pork back ribs stew was huge β meat fell off the bone, but if you want broth, go with the beef rib soup. In a high-altitude city, hot soup and meat really hit the spot β energy restored β°οΈπͺ. The Art Hotel Dinner & Breakfast π¨ Stayed here to use AMEX credits β got $100 dinner + $60 breakfast vouchers. Dinner steak was decently cooked π₯©. Brussels sprouts appetizer with pomegranate yogurt was tasty. Breakfast burrito β loved it! Crispy tortilla with a subtle steak aroma π. Tea service came in a beautiful box to pick your own tea bag + a little honey jar π―. Himalayan Curry & Kebob π« Dinner in Estes Park. Garlic naan β 5 stars! Must order β thin, crispy, slightly sweet, so fragrant. Mains (lamb curry + butter chicken) were okay, not memorable. Smokinβ Daveβs BBQ π After hiking, I was starving β food came super fast. $26 for 3 meats: beef + ribs + half chicken β all tender and not too salty. The beef especially was flavorful without being oversalted β high praise for American BBQ! Also loved their $5 salad β finally some veggies π₯. Omelette Parlor π₯ Ate before taking the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. Ordered the Thunderbird omelette β eggs wrapped around a thin pancake stuffed with fillings, topped with green chili pork sauce. Sounds weird but weirdly good! Seoul K-BBQ π₯© Their beef rib soup was even better than Moobongriβs β highly recommend! BBQ meats were fresh β ribeye and short rib were solid. For two people: one soup + one BBQ plate is plenty. O Lien π Pho was decent, not outstanding. North Italia π Ate near the car return β pizza crust was fragrant, decent choice! Oishii Ramen π₯ β not a fan. #DenverFood #DenverTravel #FoodReview #EatLikeALocal #TravelEats #HighAltitudeDining ποΈπ½οΈ
