Denver Boutique City Hotel|The Rally Hotel
When visiting Denver, if you’re looking for a hotel with real city character, I highly recommend The Rally Hotel. It’s part of Sage Hospitality Group’s collection of independent boutique hotels — which in Denver includes The Crawford in Union Station, The Oxford, The Maven in Dairy Block, and Catbird further northeast. Each has its own story, but The Rally blends Denver urban vibes + baseball culture in the most fun way ⚾🏙️. 🏙️ Amazing Location The Rally is located in McGregor Square, just a 5-minute walk from Union Station. From the airport, you can take the direct train to Union Station and walk over effortlessly 🚆✈️. By late November, McGregor Square sets up a seasonal ice rink with holiday lights — especially beautiful at night ❄️✨. Right across the street is Coors Field (baseball stadium), so you’ll find lots of baseball-themed touches throughout the hotel. ⚾ Hotel Vibe & Experience As soon as you enter the lobby, you’ll notice an automated baseball delivery system — baseballs loop through tracks overhead, which is really playful and charming! There are also miniature models showcasing Denver’s history, adding thoughtful details 🎨🧩. During check-in, each guest gets to choose a welcome beer or seasonal wine — lately they’ve been offering Rosé, which was surprisingly good 🍷. We stayed in a Square View room (the rink wasn’t set up yet, though). Decor was neat and comfortable, and the bathrobes were adorable — blue plaid! 🛁👕 🎁 What the Destination Fee Includes Their destination fee is actually worth it: 🎉 Welcome drink (beer/seasonal wine) 🍨 Coca-Cola float or ice cream from 4–5 PM ☕️ Morning coffee until 10:30 AM 🚗 House Car service within 2 miles (unavailable during our stay due to maintenance) 🛍 Discounts at nearby partner shops 🏊♂️ Rooftop Pool — The Main Reason to Stay Here Overlooking the Denver downtown skyline 🌆 Year-round temperature-controlled water Super calm surface — great for photos 📸 Features a gradual walk-in slope on one side and a shallow lounging area on the other — really fun design! The nearby hot tub is seriously hot — you’ll be sweating after 10 minutes 😅 Perfect for a sunset soak 🌅❤️ 🚶♂️ One of My Favorite Denver City Walk Routes: Colorado State Capitol (dome tour) Denver Art Museum (giant broom installation) Populus Hotel for coffee (inspired by Aspen trees) Big Blue Bear (Denver’s public art icon) Denver Performing Arts Complex Larimer Square (Denver’s first commercial street) Dairy Block (retro-meets-modern block) Union Station Millennium Bridge → Commons Park (watch locals walk dogs, sunbathe, play guitar) LoHi dessert: Little Man Ice Cream Dinner at El Five or Alma Fonda Fina (reserve ahead!)
