π Denver Conference Diaries | Who Says Denver Is a Food Desert?
Just spent a few days in Denver for a conference, and let me tell you β the food scene here is seriously underrated! Iβve split my recommendations into Downtown Denver and Estes Park: π Downtown Denver Picks: 1οΈβ£ Menya Noodle Bar My first meal in Denver! We tried the Menya Special and the new Mushroom Noodles. If you love classic Japanese ramen, go for the Menya Special β chewy noodles, rich broth, so comforting! 2οΈβ£ Milk Tea People π΅ Their matcha is legendary β I went back three times! Must-try: Uji Matcha (clean, classic, not too sweet) Also great: Matcha Jasmine Sweet Cream (floral, creamy, but a bit rich toward the end) 3οΈβ£ Aloy Thai Eatery Came for the Pad Thai β tried both thin and wide noodles. I preferred the wide noodles β they reminded me of stir-fried sheet noodles π You can customize spice levels from 1β5. We picked level 2 β just right for mild spice lovers! 4οΈβ£ Brunch at Snooze π³ I ordered the Almond Butter Coconut Porridge (540 kcal) β a warm oatmeal bowl thatβs delicious but rich. My boyfriend had the Denver Omelet (860 kcal) with hash browns and toast β super filling and tasty! 5οΈβ£ La Loma π²π½ A lovely Mexican spot! Their Fajitas (we shared a small portion between three) and La Loma Combo starter were fantastic. Also loved their Margaritas β one sweet, one tangy. Perfect for a post-presentation unwind! 6οΈβ£ Uchi Omakase π£ A splurge-worthy sushi experience! Almost every course was a hit (except maybe the raw oyster π ). Great service β they even comped us a sake for a birthday celebration! Dessert was the real star: mango + coconut cream + nuts β layered, not too sweet, absolutely divine. π Estes Park Favorites: 1οΈβ£ Nepalβs Cafe π³π΅ Cozy and flavorful β a nice break from the usual! 2οΈβ£ The Egg of Estes π³ Solid brunch spot β hearty and satisfying. Denver, youβve won my stomach over π₯°π #DenverEats #FoodieConference #NotAFoodDesert #MatchaLove #ThaiFood #OmakaseDenver
