Dinner ~ New York West House Home-style Sichuan Restaurant
I don’t usually head to the Upper West Side much—feels like it’s mostly Western restaurants around here. So when I stumbled upon a Sichuan spot, I rushed over right away to satisfy my spicy food craving 😋 1️⃣ Cold Tossed Tiger Vegetables Cilantro mixed with shredded bell peppers—so fresh and crisp! The dressing is spot-on, with a tiny hint of tang that hits just right. Perfect appetizer to wake up your taste buds, loved it! 🌟 2️⃣ Saliva Chicken The sauce is rich and flavorful, and the chili has a nice aroma. The chicken is tender and silky, though it’s not super spicy—more of a mild, savory kick. Still tasty overall! 😊 3️⃣ Spicy Fried Shrimp Salty, fragrant, and so good! The shrimp are fried until crispy, and they’re pretty big too—you can even eat the shells. Crunchy and addictive, we polished this plate off quick 🦐 4️⃣ Dry Pot Cauliflower and Lotus Root It’s spicy with a little sweetness, and both the cauliflower and lotus root stay nice and crisp. So satisfying with rice—definitely a crowd-pleaser! 🍚 5️⃣ Sesame Beef Shreds The beef is fried, and the flavor’s on the sweet side. I’m not big on sweet dishes, so I’d give this a 3/5 stars haha! It’s not bad, just not my thing 😅 📍 Legend 72 #NewYorkFoodie #NewYorkFood #NewYorkWeekend #UpperWestSide #NewYorkSichuanFood
