Disappointing Experience at a Celebrity Chef Steakhouse ❌

Let’s start with Chef Tom Colicchio – a well-known American chef, restaurateur, and TV personality famous for his influence on modern American cuisine and his role as a judge on the hit cooking competition Top Chef. He’s the founder of the acclaimed New York restaurant Craft (opened in 2001), which focuses on a farm-to-table fine dining concept, highlighting simple preparations of high-quality ingredients. He also runs other establishments like Craftsteak, Temple Court, and the sandwich chain Wichcraft. With such an impressive background, I expected great things from his steakhouse… but I was wrong. 😕 We ordered a ribeye, a mushroom side, and a Caesar salad – and honestly, they were just mediocre. • The ribeye wasn’t even as good as what my husband grills at home. 🥩 Though cooked to the right temperature, the steak was thinner than expected, tougher than usual, and drier than a typical ribeye should be. It was also oversalted, which really overshadowed the natural flavor. • The mushroom side dish was another letdown. Just ordinary sautéed small mushrooms – nothing special, and honestly, not as tasty as homemade versions. • The Caesar salad looked unappetizing and bland. I’ve had better from Trader Joe’s! 🥗 The only highlight? The complimentary bread. 🍞 It’s clearly pan-fried in a cast-iron skillet with a generous amount of butter – crispy, warm, and absolutely delicious! We also tried cheesecake from Luchini next door (since Craftsteak doesn’t serve it), and even that was underwhelming. I’d take Whole Foods’ cheesecake over it any day. Overall, if you’re looking for a great steak in Vegas, I highly recommend Main St. Provisions instead – it’s miles ahead of this place! 🏔️🚀 Have you been to Craftsteak? What was your experience? Share your thoughts – I’d love to hear if it was just an off day or if others feel the same! 👇 #LasVegasFood #LasVegasDiningRecommendation #LasVegasFoodReview #LasVegasDisappointment #LasVegasSteak #LasVegasEatery #VegasFoodAndFun #LasVegasRestaurant #RestaurantToAvoid #VegasTips
