Discovering a Hidden Gem in New York (1)🌟
The name "Meili" is quite intriguing. I chatted with the waiter and found out it was named by the chef because the dining area is slightly sunken. The decor looks like it cost a fortune and has a very stylish vibe. 🌺 📍 Meili – the ambiance is truly beautiful. Don't miss the huge floral arrangement right at the entrance. They serve classic Sichuan dishes. The drink menu looks great, and they even have a Chinese vegan menu, which is quite interesting. It attracts a lot of white locals from Brooklyn. On a Friday night, the place was almost full, so remember to make a reservation! 📅 We ordered: 🐔 Spicy Chicken The flavor is very authentic with a nice kick of Sichuan peppercorn and chili. The meat is lean, which is great for those watching their fat intake. 🦐 Huang Fei Hong Shrimp The fried shrimp is super satisfying. The crispy chili peppers are really crunchy. I guess they toned down the spiciness for the locals, but we took the Huang Fei Hong peanuts, extra chili peppers, and the chili peppers from the Spicy Chicken home to make a super spicy stir-fry. It was so worth it! (We're just that thrifty...) 😂 #NewYorkFood #NewYorkLife 🌃🌟
