DMV Area: Virginia Beach + Norfolk📍 Tourist Guide & Food Tour Part 1️

School’s starting soon! DMV folks, make the most of Labor Day Weekend with a getaway to Virginia Beach and Norfolk — perfect for a road trip! 🚗💨 Here’s a super detailed guide to exploring and eating your way through the area: 📍 Virginia Beach Boardwalk I know there’s nothing a beach 🏖️ and ocean 🌊 can’t heal! Strolling along the shore, taking photos, and enjoying the vibe is pure therapy. The boardwalk is lined with cute shops and tasty eateries. 📍 USS Wisconsin BB-64 + Nauticus The retired U.S. battleship is incredibly impressive! Get a combo ticket to explore the ship and the adjacent Nauticus Naval Museum. Most areas of the battleship are open to the public — I peeked into almost every room and got a real feel of naval life at sea. I even bought a souvenir piece of the battleship’s deck fragments sold at Nauticus! 🧩 📍 MacArthur Memorial A museum dedicated to Five-Star General Douglas MacArthur. Saw the WWII Japanese surrender document and was amazed by his countless medals! The memorial is located in a bustling part of VB, surrounded by great restaurants, comfortable environments, and easy parking. 📍 The Sweet Spot🍧 A super Instagram-worthy dessert shop by the beach! Their Funnel Cake is a must-try 🥹. 📍 The Rustic Spoon🥞 VB has no shortage of delicious brunch spots! Their Stuffed French Toast is a specialty (but very sweet). Missed out on their soufflé last time — definitely worth trying. 📍 Glass Light Hotel & Gallery, Autograph Collection My first stop for food — beautiful ambiance and excellent service! They also have a free-to-visit glass gallery on the second floor. The pink rabbit sculpture totally cracked me up 😂. Located near MacArthur Memorial and the battleship — a must-visit! 📍 Joyu Tea & Coffee🧋 No explanation needed — my frequent visits say it all! Extensive menu, refreshing flavors, adjustable sweetness/ice levels. Their "less sugar" option is truly not sweet. Also serves delicious Croffles🧇. No disappointments so far! My go-to order: Honeydew Avalanche, large, unsweetened with Honey Golden Pearl and Black Sugar Boba. 🍽️ Food section continues in the comments: Chinese, Korean, Thai, fast food, snacks, and supermarkets! #DMVFoodAndFun #TravelGuide #EastCoastHoliday #StudyAbroadLife #LaborDayWeekend
