📍 Green Lakes State Park, Fayetteville, NY 13066 (Just 20 mins from Syracuse!) 🌿 Quick Highlights: Pack your pup! Dogs allowed on trails + kayaking (weather-permitting). Jaw-dropping lakes: Rare "meromictic" lakes (Green Lake & Round Lake)—their emerald hues come from mineral-rich waters that don’t mix layers. Science + beauty! 🔬💎 Busy but peaceful: Parking/BBQ areas were packed (Mother’s Day weekend!), but trails felt serene. 🐕 Our Adventure: Trail: 2.5-mile loop (AllTrails says 51 mins… took us 1.5 hrs 🐢). Missed BBQ: A friendly group almost lured us in with their smoky feast… but sunset called!
