Dominica Diary: A Tropical Christmas Adventure! 🌴🎄
Spending my first Christmas in the tropics feels surreal! 🎅☀️ The streets are decked with festive decor, and carols fill the air—but the 30°C heat makes it hilariously unique. No snow, just sunshine and palm trees! 😌 🌿 Discovering Roseau: The Caribbean’s Hidden Gem Compared to other Caribbean capitals, Roseau feels refreshingly raw and real. No flashy resorts or tourist traps—just local vendors, colorful wooden huts, and an unhurried island vibe. It might be the most "untouched" Caribbean city I’ve visited! 📍 Only "Attraction"? The Quirky Botanical Garden! Tiny but charming, with one iconic tree sculpted into a giant smiley face 😊—now a national symbol (even on souvenirs!). No castles or grand museums... just pure, unfiltered island life. 🌈 Rain? Just Part of the Adventure! Daily tropical showers come and go ☔—but they’re over in minutes, leaving behind rainbows (like the one over Roseau this morning!). 🚢 Cruise Finale: Bittersweet Goodbyes It’s Christmas Eve, and my Caribbean voyage is almost over. This trip gifted me so many firsts—and Dominica, with its authentic charm, might just be the most memorable stop yet. One last port to go… fingers crossed for a perfect ending! ✨ #Roseau #Dominica #CaribbeanTravel #TropicalChristmas #OffTheBeatenPath #NoFilterNeeded
