Don’t Leave Costa Rica Without Visiting This Restaurant in San José
San José, the capital of Costa Rica, is a city I’ve passed through several times—always in a hurry. But my impression of it kept evolving. This city boasts clean streets, cool weather, and incredibly friendly people. 🏙️🍃 Walking through its neighborhoods, I always thought San José was just a small capital… until a local friend insisted I visit this restaurant—promising I’d fall in love with the city through it. I trusted her; she’s a true lover of life and beautiful places. So last time I was in town, I called an Uber with determined curiosity. 🚗💨 The 30-minute ride from the old town led us uphill into a residential area on the city’s edge. Just as I started doubting if we were lost, the car stopped in front of a restaurant nestled in bougainvillea flowers. 🌸 I stepped inside skeptically—but within moments, the whole city unfolded beneath me. My thoughts in that moment: “Just beyond the mountains, a village appears; As if spring wind blew thousands of blossoms here.” 🌄✨ Was this still San José? It felt more like Bogotá from García Márquez’s magical tales—a city bursting with color and life! 🧡 Thank you, universe—some moments are beyond words. I ordered food, drank two glasses of wine, and stayed until the stars came out. ✨🍷 The restaurant is Mirador Tiquicia in Bebedero, San Antonio. And don’t even ask about the food—because that’s the least remarkable thing about this place. 😉 #HiddenGems #CityViews #LifeAbroad #RestaurantWithAView #CostaRica #SanJosé #SpringBlossoms
