Drive to Symmes Chapel
After a 9-hour drive, we finally visited the famous Symmes Chapel ⛰️⛪ Even through all the winding mountain roads, we kept our spirits high ✨ The journey may be long, but every destination is worth reaching. Everything is prearranged in its own way, and beautiful moments are quietly unfolding. Here’s a little practical advice: It’s best to arrive at the hilltop between 5:00 - 5:30 AM to get in line. The chapel gates open at 6 AM. Parking is limited—if you arrive early, you can park in the main lot. If you’re late, you may have to park along the steep edges of the mountain road 🚗⚠️ The chapel often hosts weddings, so be sure to check the official website in advance for opening hours to avoid disappointment. We stayed at a cozy guesthouse in Fletcher after exploring the Great Smoky Mountains 🏡, then drove just one hour early the next morning to reach the chapel. Accommodations near the chapel tend to be less comfortable compared to those in Fletcher or Asheville. If you’re coming from the Great Smoky Mountains, our plan might work perfectly for you too! #US #CA #Cleveland
