East Coast USA 🇺🇸 | Long Island Weekend Getaway

Living in LongIsland for a month got a little too quiet, so I made it my mission to explore every iconic spot on weekends! Here are two must-visit estates straight out of The Great Gatsby era: 🏰 Oheka Castle 📍 *135 W Gate Dr, Huntington, NY 11743* ✨ Built in 1919, this French château-style mansion is the 2nd largest private residence in the U.S. and a filming location for: 🎬 The Great Gatsby (1974) – Robert Redford’s version! 🎵 Taylor Swift’s "Blank Space" MV 🎶 With 126 rooms, opulent gardens, and Old Hollywood glamour, it’s where tycoon Otto Kahn once lived—now a hotspot for elite weddings & parties. Even met the current owner (a sweet grandpa!) who happily took photos for us! 🤳 ℹ️ Tips: Guided tours ($30) run at 11 AM & 6 PM (strict timing!). Fine dining restaurant on-site—perfect for a luxe date night. Gardens = pure South of France vibes! 🌿🇫🇷 ⛲️ Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park 📍 *1395 Planting Fields Rd, Oyster Bay, NY 11771* 🌳 A 400-acre Gold Coast-era estate with: Tudor Revival Mansion (Coe Hall) – 65 rooms of vintage grandeur. Botanical gardens, greenhouses & forest trails – ideal for fall foliage 🍁 (feels like Moscow in autumn!). Free entry to the arboretum (open 9 AM–5 PM). Coe Hall tours ($10, book ahead!). 📸 Photographers’ paradise! So many rare plants & dreamy backdrops. Why Go? ✔ Step into Gatsby’s world – old-money luxury meets cinematic beauty. ✔ Less crowded than NYC spots—hidden-gem vibes. ✔ Perfect for history buffs, romantics & shutterbugs! #Castles #LongIsland #AmericanDream #Mansions #HiddenGems
