Eating, Drinking, and Daydreaming at Saskatoon Farm 🍦🌾

Summer break is a high-risk season for screen time 📱👀. To protect the kids’ eyes, we slept in on the weekend, had a simple brunch, and then I hustled everyone into the car. When I said we were going to “Saskatoon Farm,” the kids were shocked—they thought we were driving 600 km away! 😂 After checking the map and seeing it was only 45 minutes, they relaxed… but then asked, “Why is it called Saskatoon Farm if it’s near Calgary?” 🤔 We drove 60 km from north to south and arrived around noon on Sunday. The parking lot was pretty full, but we found a spot after a short wait. 🚗💨 The whole farm has that classic North American vibe—rustic and simple. The store sells beautiful goods but they’re a bit pricey. I browsed twice but didn’t end up buying anything. 🛍️😅 The ice cream and drinks were delicious though! The saskatoon berry ice cream tasted just like “Kangle red bean ice”—any fellow Canadians remember that? 🍧❤️ The lemonade was also refreshing—every flavor was a hit. I wanted to take a whole box home, but my thrifty kids stopped me. 😆 The chocolate chip oatmeal cookies were a kid favorite… but then again, when is a chocolate chip cookie ever bad? 🍪 The freshly baked pizza was amazing! The staff let us do half-and-half toppings, and even though no one was hungry… we still finished five slices because it was just too good. 🍕🔥 Not sure if the produce at the Farmers Market is grown on-site, but everyone was happily loading up. We bought a bunch of radishes and a cabbage that looked just like a Chinese round cabbage—all for just $6! 🥬💰 The weather was perfect today. We spent half an hour daydreaming at the far end of the farm—a real eye spa. 👁️💆‍♀️ Then we headed back.
