Edinburgh's Saturday Farmers' Market is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to Explore!
📍 Farmers’ Market EH1 2EN | Open every Saturday 9AM-2PM Arriving around 10AM is perfect—too late and some stalls might be packing up! I’ve been here two weekends in a row now. 😍 🛍️ Recommendations: 1️⃣ Kedar Milk 🥛❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Located at the second section near the entrance. Last week, I bought a glass bottle (£3.9)—this week, I brought it back for a refill (£1.4). Super creamy, a must-try for milk lovers! Their hot chocolate 🍫 is also fantastic (but skip the iced one—way too sweet). The version with marshmallows? PERFECTION. 😋 2️⃣ First Coffee Stall ☕️ Grabbed a latte—beans were aromatic and smooth. Worth a sip! 👍 3️⃣ Jam Stand 🥫 Found in the middle of the market. The lemon 🍋 and strawberry 🍓 jams are delicious (a tad sweet but great on scones or toast). 😻 4️⃣ Pork Burger 🍔 (£12) Comes with salad 🥗. The meat has a slight porky taste, but the BBQ sauce balances it. The sweet bun is the real star! 5️⃣ Strawberries 🍓 Near the entrance, £8 for 4 boxes. Juicier and sweeter than Tesco’s—but they spoil fast (1-2 berries per box went bad overnight). 😅 6️⃣ Others Saw candles and Basque cheesecake (popular, but I skipped them). 📍 Grass Market EH1 2JU | Just a short walk downstairs from the Farmers' Market. 🛍️ Grass Market Picks: 1️⃣ Spanish Paella 🥘 Hard pass. Available after 11:30AM—I waited forever. Tried the chicken (£10) and seafood (£12). The seafood was crazy salty, and even with lemon 🍋, it was overpoweringly sour. The chicken was slightly better… but still meh. 🚬 2️⃣ MARY’S MILK BAR ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 (Opposite the market) This week’s flavors: LEMON (BEST!) 🍋, mango 🥭, rich chocolate 🍫, and cardamom (my friend’s fave—not my taste). Last week’s pistachio & sea salt was divine! If lemon’s sold out, go for milk base—equally heavenly. 🫰 #Edinburgh #EdinburghFood #EdinburghExploration #EdinburghUni #UKFarmersMarket #Scotland
