Edinburgh | This Go-Kart Experience is Super Thrilling! 🏎️

Totally beginner-friendly with professional track equipment The double-deck track is exhilarating, and the electric karts are so smooth! The brakes and accelerator are very responsive, and it’s not too crowded at the 4pm session on weekdays. Saw a cute couple and even a bad-ass grandma 👵, very cool 👍 The process is roughly as follows: 1️⃣ Arrive about 20 minutes early, register and sign on the iPad ✍️ to get your gloves 🧤 and helmet; it’s best to book and buy tickets on the website in advance (3💷 per person) 2️⃣ Change clothes: Racing suits and helmets are provided for free 🆓; pick up your suit and change. The room has no privacy, so it’s best not to wear too many layers. You can just take off your outerwear and put on the racing suit (especially for ladies 👩) 3️⃣ Store items: There are boxes for storage, but I just put my jacket on the windowsill, and my phone went straight into my pants pocket. 4️⃣ 👀 Tutorial & Rules: There’s about a 15-minute brief instruction; remember the meaning of different flags; especially, don’t 🙅 crash roughly to avoid being penalized (got a warning flag once ⚠️) 5️⃣ Drive 🏎️: Each session is 10 minutes long. After each round, the group rankings and fastest lap times are displayed on the screen. There’s a 7-minute break before the next round. (Press boots on the steering wheel to accelerate & reversed is to go back 🔙, found out some newbies didn’t know this 🤣) For a fun experience, you can choose 210min for 27.5💷 For a competitive lap time, you can choose 410min for 35💷 (Prices differ on weekends, check the website for specifics) Xtreme Karting / Combat Edinburgh You can take the X18 from the city center, about a 40-minute ride. 🏎️ Had a great time 🥳. Pushing hard, I managed 40s, while the pros are untouchable at under 35s.
