Edinburgh Brunch: Freezing Hands at Scott’s Kitchen in Winter 🥶

I feel like I’ve been eating Chinese food every day! Hahaha Today, I tried something different—a local brunch. 🤪 📍 Scott’s Kitchen This place is up some stairs, so watch out when you arrive and check your navigation. ☺️ If you want something classic, go for the Scott’s Breakfast.🥰 Scott was a famous Scottish novelist and a local hero. The restaurant is also named Scott’s Kitchen, and there’s only one location in Edinburgh, so the Scott’s Breakfast is a must-try classic! Apart from the classic, there are other recommendations.💗 I ordered Sourdough with Avocado.😍 It was incredibly delicious and the portion was generous. The avocado was fresh, and the eggs🥚 had the perfect consistency I love. The bread was just right—not too hard or too soft, and it was fragrant. Since I usually don’t have much of an appetite in the morning, I didn’t order meat, but if you like it, give it a try.👍🏻 For other options, you can try the House Benedict. However, their hot drinks were a bit lacking.🥲 We expected latte art, considering it’s a restaurant with higher prices, but there was none. When our friends tried to take aesthetically pleasing food photos, they struggled with the presentation because there was no latte art!🤣 Hahaha. The coffee☕️ I ordered, a Mocha with oat milk, was okay—nothing special. I’d give their hot drinks a 3/5. When I visited during Christmas🎄 week, it was quite busy. If you plan to go, I’d recommend calling ahead to make a reservation. Just search the number on Google.👍🏻 The average cost per person is around £10+, which is typical for breakfasts in the area. I personally recommend it because my friend introduced me to this place, and I had high expectations. It didn’t disappoint, and the service was attentive. Overall, it was a good experience. Oh, and although the view outside the restaurant on Victoria Street is beautiful, I suggest dining indoors in winter. Otherwise, you’ll end up like a popsicle, unable to hold your utensils.🍴🥶 My friends and I thought we could handle the cold and insisted on sitting outside, but we were freezing before we even started eating and just wanted to finish and go inside. Hahaha. 😂 Save the outdoor seating for summer visitors! #Edinburgh
