Edinburgh Must-Visit: The Royal Botanic Garden ๐ฟ
The Royal Botanic Garden in May is a perfect example of the "20-minute park effect." Despite our hectic schedule, we added a two-day visit to the botanical gardenโtruly a labor of love! ๐ธ Each visit had a different focus. The first time, we mainly looked at the overall layout and some of the larger landscapes. The second visit was all about the rock garden area, which is a concentrated and diverse collection of plants. If it's your first time, I wouldn't even try to give suggestions because there's no way to see everything in one go. It's just too big! ๐ณ Just follow your interests and see what catches your eye. I have a love-hate relationship with the meticulously trimmed hedges in the UK. They look neat and tidy, but also a bit monotonous and rigid. Why confine them to such perfect squares and rectangles? In addition to the hedges, the rock moss, the Japanese bridge, the various light-colored azaleas, the seemingly random clusters of trees, and even the purple, unknown flowers in the surrounding residential areas are all thriving. It feels like the plants are well-taken care of here, almost like a zoo for flora. ๐ฟ #HowMuchILoveGreen #Photography #Documenting #RomanticLifeRecorder #Edinburgh #EdinburghTravel #Plants #Imagination
