Edo-Tokyo Museum Special Exhibition: Ancient Egypt πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬ 🎒🌸 My fascination with ancient Egypt started with the movie "The Mummy" 🎬, which was released in 1999. πŸŒ‡βœ¨The male lead, O'Connell, was once my ideal type of American guy πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. When I was little, I would dramatically fantasize that I had a bit of Egyptian blood, just like the movie's female lead, Rachel, and I'd dream of one day seeing my past life from the clouds.. 🎒🌸 I still have unread books on my Kindle about the history of Egyptian culture and mummies. Ever since, I've been really into ancient Egyptian and pyramid culture. Hehe. 🎒🌸The exhibition systematically introduced the Egyptian pantheon, historical figures, and the worldview of the afterlife. Photography was allowed πŸ“· (or was it just the time I visited? There were many older visitors who were quite enthusiastic about taking photos. πŸŒ‡βœ¨ It was a bit off-putting when I was looking at an exhibit and suddenly a hand would reach out from behind and press against the glass case to take a photo). #Tokyo πŸŒ‡βœ¨
