El Boqueron Volcano Crater Round Trip for Just 1 Dollar

🌟 El Boqueron National Park Parque Nacional El Boquerón is located in Santa Tecla, a satellite town to the west of San Salvador. Transportation is quite convenient. 🌟 To get from San Salvador to Santa Tecla, there are plenty of buses. You can easily find the main roads connecting the two places on Google Maps. Just wait by the roadside, ask other passengers, and confirm with the driver when you get on. The fare is about 30 to 50 cents, paid to the driver. The buses aren't the best, but they're comfortable enough for a short ride. 🌟 In Santa Tecla, get off at the Punto de Buses Ruta 103. Mark this location on Google Maps in advance, and study the satellite images to note significant landmarks like churches and parks. Use the transit tracking to know when to get off. 🌟 After getting off, I recommend visiting the local farmer's market in Santa Tecla if you're interested. If you want to head straight to the mountain, the place you get off is also where you transfer to another bus (see photos 12/13). There are two types of vehicles, both costing the same, 50 cents. 🌟 One type is a modified truck that looks like it's for cargo but is actually for passengers. There are no seats, so it's a tough ride for those who can't handle standing. The road up the mountain is slow, and the exhaust is heavy, so make sure to get off at the end, which is closer to the volcano crater park. Don't get off at any busy T-junctions. 🌟 The other option is a seated bus, without air conditioning and with open windows, on route 103. The frequency is lower than the modified truck. 🌟 Once you arrive at the volcano crater, you'll need to walk a bit, but it's not much. As for the park ticket, I didn't buy one today, as no one was collecting money, and I didn't see a ticket booth. 🌟 The coffee at the volcano crater is delightful, and watching the eagles circle above is quite interesting. Mainly, the air is fresh, and the comfort level, along with the atmosphere created by the surrounding trees, plants, and moss, is great, truly. 🌟 On the way down, there's a nice coffee restaurant that I've eaten at two years ago. Restaurante Finca San Cristóbal. Don't worry about the bus; just flag it down. #ElSalvador #GlobalTravel #FarmersMarketTour #FarmersMarket #CoffeeExploration #CentralAmerica
