Wow, it’s been over a month since my last post… I’ll try to update more often from now on! 🥹 Time really flies—can’t believe it’s already August 🍃 And of course, August means listening to Taylor Swift’s “august” on repeat! 🎶❤️ Just realized I’ve been in Florida for more than 20 days now 😧 PS: I’m here through the SWT program, working and traveling in Florida—my job is at an amusement park in Tampa! 🎢 This month’s random thoughts: 1️⃣ Florida sunshine is NO JOKE ☀️🫠 I’ve visibly tanned several shades darker 😂 Walk outside without an umbrella and you can achieve a “perfect tan” in no time After a full day walking around downtown recently, my shoulders got sunburned—turned red and peeled a bit later 🥵 (luckily it didn’t hurt much though!) 2️⃣ Everything is fun… except work 😭 I work at a restaurant inside the park—mostly cashiering or making burgers 🍔 The work itself isn’t hard, but standing all day takes some getting used to 😑 Good news: I’ve made a few close friends at the restaurant, so shifts feel less boring now ✌️ 3️⃣ If you study abroad, you gotta learn to cook 🫡 My cooking skills are leveling up 🧑🍳🔥 Now I spend an hour every day making my own meals—it’s my daily dose of happiness 🤤 Following guides from Xiaohongshu makes everything easy and beginner-friendly I’ve now mastered hand-shredded chicken like a pro 😼 By the way, there’s a hurricane passing through Florida these days 🌀 So I got an unexpected day off—yay! 🥳 Everyone in Florida, please stay safe!
