Enjoying Smashed Croissants at Chez Bon Bon in Las Vegas

During our stay at Vegas' Fontainebleau, the Amex Platinum card offered a $70 daily breakfast credit. To make the most of it, we decided to try the much-hyped Chez Bon Bon early in the morning! We went around 8:30 AM—already quite busy with a line. We chose to pack several pastries and coffee back to our room, totaling about $75, and they were absolutely delicious! Here are my favorites: đŸ„ Pistachio Smashed Croissant The top-rated pastry for good reason—sweet but not cloying. First bite: rich pistachio chocolate coating, followed by layers of crispy smashed croissant. Loaded with crushed pistachios—utterly addictive! đŸ« Chocolate Smashed Croissant Surprisingly not too sweet, just rich chocolate flavor. Topped with chocolate pearls for extra indulgence—five stars! 🍓 Mixed Berry Roasted Danish – Best of the visit! A rectangular, flaky pastry filled with creamy pistachio paste and topped with raspberries and blueberries. So good—fight me if you disagree! 😋 🍩 Blueberry Yogurt Ice Cream In the U.S., "not too sweet" is the highest praise for desserts. This one is rich in yogurt flavor, perfectly balanced, and refreshing in the morning—full marks! 🍩 Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Light and just sweet enough, with crunchy chocolate chips. Loved it! 🎀 Bow-Tie Croissant Too pretty to resist—perfectly shaped, crispy and flaky. Tastes great, but I still prefer the smashed version. Great for photos though! (Then again, it’s hard to make a bad croissant 😉) 🍰 Yuzu Swiss Roll Light, not too sweet, with a tangy yuzu flavor—layers of jam, cream, and sponge cake. A must-try! đŸ„‘ Avocado Toast A solid savory choice for breakfast. Topped with fried onion crisps, sunflower seeds, thick avocado spread, and cherry tomatoes—so flavorful! ☕ Coffee – Not recommended, pretty basic. They also offer a variety of other fresh pastries, fruits, and salad bowls—each around $12–15.
