Enjoying the view of the sea while visiting an art gallery 😊

We said we were here to visit the art gallery, but as soon as we entered and saw the sea,…e park, 45 sculptures are carefully placed in appropriate spots. Each piece has an audio explanation that you can scan to listen to. For example, looking from the café towards the grass by the sea, there’s Calder’s movable sculpture, slightly swaying in the breeze. It’s perfect for a stroll, enjoying the scenery and the sculptures. 🟪 Collection Recommendation In the north wing, the juxtaposition of Bourgeois and Giacometti, both known for their large sculptures exploring the condition of human existence, is quite intriguing. The small sculpture gallery in the north wing is also worth a look, featuring works by 18 modern sculptors including Jean Arp. I particularly liked a wall in the glass corridor with three very primitive, simple sculptures. Turns out they are Danish modernist style figures, aiming to uncover the eternal in small objects. 📖 Activities The gallery has a children’s creation area for families or children to participate in workshops and holiday camps. The gallery occasionally hosts cultural events: · Lectures and seminars: check the website calendar · Concerts: every Friday starting from August · Literature festival: 4 days a year, August 22-25, 2024 🪁 Here’s a fun fact: the gallery is called Louis because it was originally the private villa of Alexander Brun, an 18th-century hunting and planting magnate, and all three of his wives were named Louis (?) 📅 Opening Hours: Tuesday to Friday 11:00-22:00, Saturday and Sunday 11:00-18:00 🎫: Free admission for children under 18, 125dkk for under 26s and students, 145dkk for adults 🌬️ With the sound of waves, a gentle breeze, and kids rolling down the grassy slopes, nature, art, and people come together for a very healing day. With the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Copenhagen is truly enviable 🥹 #HealingScenery #LouisianaMuseum #DenmarkTravel #ModernSculpture #ByTheSea
