Essex New York Restaurant Week 🍽️
I sat down all excited, only to find out that the lamb shank I was craving wasn’t on the menu 😑. And to make things a bit more disappointing, there was no pre-meal bread. The restaurant was pretty empty too, which felt a bit odd. 🍃 The appetizers were actually pretty good though. The scallop and yellowtail crudo were both really flavorful. The scallop dish only had three pieces, but they were delicious. 🌊The yellowtail crudo had a nice watermelon flavor, but for some reason, it had a bit of a spicy kick. The sauces on both dishes would have been perfect for dipping bread, but alas, no bread was served. 🎡The main course took forever to arrive—I waited at least 20 minutes. My friend joked, “Did they go to the farm to catch the cow?” 🐮 When the dish finally came, the meat was cold after just one bite... but the potato skin was super crispy and amazing! 🥔 #NewYork 🗽
