Evening Tour in Downtown San Salvador

In recent years, under the strong crackdown of the new president, the security situation in El Salvador has greatly improved. As a result, locals have recommended that we can visit the downtown area at night, assuring us that it is very safe and there's no need to worry. This area is also known as the Centro Histórico de San Salvador. The entire district is primarily pedestrian-friendly, and at night, many locals gather in the squares for rest and entertainment. The most striking building among them is the BINAES (Biblioteca Nacional de El Salvador), a library aided by China.🌳🐸 The library is grand and modern in appearance, and its interior is open 24 hours a day for free. It has six or seven floors, each catering to different age groups. It's more of a cultural center than just a library because it also includes a children's playground suitable for toddlers, gaming rooms with Switch/PS experiences, and popular IP (Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, etc.) themed areas, which are very diverse.🌅👏 Locals say that on weekends, it's usually packed, and there's a queue to get in. If you want to experience the games, you need to read books for a certain period before you can play for free, which seems like a great idea.🌍🧳🌟 #ElSalvador #SanSalvador #CityStroll #CentralAmerica
