Every San Francisco Trip Feels Like the First Time: A Citywalk Advent

Every San Francisco Trip Feels Like the First Time: A Citywalk Adventure Once again, I’m transiting through SF on my way home—but this time, I carved out a half-day citywalk 🗺️. Stayed downtown, walked from my hotel → Union Square → California St. → Chinatown → Fisherman’s Wharf → Golden Gate Bridge, then Ubered back. Total steps? A brutal 25,000. 😅 (But worth it!) SF’s my favorite West Coast city, so let’s debunk some myths: 1️⃣ Homeless hype: Sure, some streets have unhoused folks, but walking solo during the day is mostly safe. They’re usually after cash, so carry a few bucks—if cornered, just hand it over. 💵 (Peace > pride, right?) 2️⃣ Car break-ins: The “no car leaves SF intact” stereotype? Gone. 🚗🔒 I rarely hear of smashed windows anymore. 3️⃣ Chinatown vibes: SF’s Chinese culture is alive and kicking 🐉. Chinatown and the cable cars are draped in Lunar New Year decorations—dragons, lanterns, the works. Best festive feels I’ve seen in a U.S. city. 🎆 Photo Diary 📸: 🔹 Figs 1–3: California St. & Powell St. crossroads (aka Inception filming spot 🎬). Bay Bridge views included. 🔹 Figs 4–7: Golden Gate Bridge from every angle, afternoon light magic. 🌉 🔹 Fig 8: Market St. & Powell St. intersection—cable car terminus. 🚃 🔹 Fig 9: Union Square’s Year of the Snake sculpture 🐍 (so SF!). 🔹 Figs 10–12: Chinatown’s Washington Park church—old-world charm. ⛪ 🔹 Figs 13–15: Fisherman’s Wharf chaos—cable cars, Skystar Wheel 🎡. 🔹 Figs 16–18: Chase Center (Warriors’ home 🏀 and 2025 NBA All-Star venue). #USA #SanFrancisco #RomanticLifeChronicles
