How to hop aboard fall nostalgia train rides -------------------------------------------- On Saturday, October 4th, **WWI-era IRT Lo-V subway cars** will depart from the Old South Ferry Station at noon and work their way up to **Woodlawn Cemetery**, a historic landmark founded in 1863 with roots from the industrial age to present day. Coined by the **National Parks Service** as “a popular final resting place for the famous and powerful”, the 400-acre space is a fantastic mix of **Gilded Age architecture** and gorgeous greenery. Once there, visitors will hop off the train for a two-hour tour on the grounds’ history, architecture, and most notable resting places. Attendees are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch. The group will depart around 4pm return to the Old South Ferry Station roughly around 5pm. Keep in mind, transit enthusiasts and history buffs 15 and under need adult accompaniment.
