Exploring Casa Enrique in New York ๐
Casa Enrique is a Michelin-rated Mexican restaurant, but honestly, it didn't feel particularly exceptional. ๐ The dishes were decent but not outstanding. They were good enough, but nothing that you can't find at other restaurants. It's not really worth making a special trip for. Guacamole ๐ฅ You can choose from spicy, medium, or mild. It's pretty much what you'd expect from guacamoleโtasty but nothing extraordinary. Ostiones Empanizados ๐ฆช Fried oysters with a mildly spicy mayo. The oysters had a bit of a fishy taste, which wasn't super appealing. Mole de Piaxtla ๐ถ๏ธ The standout here is the mole sauce with chocolate. It has a really unique and complex flavor profileโsweet, savory, and a bit bitter. It might take some getting used to, but it grows on you the more you taste it. Ceviche de Pescado ๐ Ceviche is a common South American dish of raw seafood marinated in citrus juices. This one was very refreshing and tangy, perfect for a light and zesty start to the meal. #NewYork #MexicanCuisine #FoodieAdventures ๐
