Exploring San Francisco's Food Scene
The other day, I checked out Vega, an Italian spot with stellar Google reviews โ and it did not disappoint! As soon as I stepped inside, the vibe had me: warm wooden tables, flickering candlelight ๐ฏ๏ธ, and the gentle hum of conversations over glasses of wine ๐ท. The atmosphere was effortlessly chic and super chill โจ. By evening, the place was packed โ both indoors and outdoors โ filled with people dining, chatting, and savoring the moment. ๐ฆ Starter: Grilled Squid with White Beans This dish was a true standout โ no wonder itโs all over Google! The squid was grilled to aromatic perfection, tender and flavorful. Beneath it, the white beans added a mild tang that awakened the palate ๐๐. A squeeze of lemon elevated every bite with a refreshing zing! ๐ Pasta (The Last One on the Menu) Cheese lovers, youโve been warned ๐ง! This pasta was rich, creamy, and loaded with cheesy goodness. The sauce was thick and hearty, though I have to admit โ it got a bit heavy after a while. Pairing it with the white beans from the starter helped balance the richness ๐. Highly recommended by the owner, so if youโre into bold, cheesy flavors with meaty notes, this oneโs for you! ๐ Veggie Pizza The pizza was baked beautifully, with a slightly charred crust and generous toppings. Our veggie pizza, however, came with a lot of basil leaves ๐๐ โ a bit overpowering by the last slice. Not my personal favorite, but Iโd definitely come back to try other varieties โ the base is promising! Final Thoughts: โ Amazing vibe โ perfect for dates or casual hangouts with friends โ Grilled squid โ a must-order! ๐ A flavorful experience with a few highs and minor notes โ will be back to explore more of the menu! #SFfood #ItalianRestaurant #VegaSF #FoodDiary #SanFranciscoEats #BayAreaLife #SiliconValleyLiving #SFFoodExploration
