🌲 Exploring the Hidden Gems Near Tokyo—A Day Trip to Okutama (1)🌄
This past May Day holiday, I finally visited Okutama, which I had been wanting to go to for a long time. 🍃🌸 It's not far from Tokyo and I loved it! I'm excited to share my travel route and some tips with everyone. ✨ 🚙 Transportation & Route: Since Kururi Station was too crowded, we drove to the vicinity of Okutama Station and parked at the "Okutama Sogo Undokoen Parking Lot" (free of charge). 🍃🌸Then, we hiked from Okutama all the way to Kururi Station (the opposite direction of the route shared by other friends) and finally took the train back to Okutama Station to drive back to Tokyo. 🚗💨 🌄 Highlights of the Trip: Okutama Lake: Since our starting point was Okutama Station, we didn't have to walk far before we saw the stunning emerald green lake. It was around two or three in the afternoon, the perfect time for the best sunlight. 🍃🌸 The lake's surface sparkled, and walking along the shore, feeling the breeze, was incredibly refreshing. Many people rented small boats and paddled on the lake, looking very relaxed and happy. 🌊✨ Hiking and Trekking: Starting from the lakeside, we hiked up the mountain, following the route Okutama → Shirambo → Hato no Su → Kururi. 🍃🌸 The forest scenery along the way was breathtaking, and the sunlight and gentle breeze on our shoulders felt so warm and pleasant. ☁️ #Tokyo #Okutama #Hiking #NatureLovers 🌟✨
